Rating: 1November 19 I was in the Brandywine parking lot with a friend of mine and we was both on horseback. We were deciding where ,whether we was going to eat at Cheddar's or one of the other many restaurants in the shopping mall. Before any decision was made we were blocked off by a black car in the roadway with someone saying that they was the property manager. The first thing that she said before hello or thank you for patronizing 90 or 95 percent of establishments that's in this mall. Her first approach was you can't be in this parking lot with these horses. When I stated that I was riding under Maryland law and this was my everyday transportation. Her next statement was who do y'all think that you are that you could just ride horses anywhere. You have to keep in mind that only a few miles away is a whole Amish community with horse and horse and carriage. I have patronized many of those establishments on horseback and horse and carriage since the mall has been opened. I was verbally attacked I was insulted and I was approached by someone that was above the law all because of my presence. The property manager was the only one driving erratically and reckless with no regard of pulling in front of a live horse and human being. I've been riding horses on that land before building was ever there. And was excited to support and patronized establishments that arrived. The attitude, the body gestures, and the verbal assault that was place upon me was a total unjust. It was racial profiling at its highest. I've taken pictures with manages and store owners , police officers, detectives and security guards in those parking lots. Her next statement after I told her I would ride my horse anywhere, was that I was trespassing. Never had an encounter with any store manager or property manager in any kind of negative way in the many years of patronizing those establishments I was told that I was trespassing on our first encounter of meeting. Which means everyone is trespassing that doesn't meet her criteria of being in the parking lot. If I went in with a smoking car and it was offencive to her with that be trespassing. it only makes me wonder in the world that we live in today if it was a pretty palomino and a Roy Rogers look-alike would he have gotten the same treatment
