Rating: 1I put one star because you can't leave it at zero. I hate when salons put people that are still learning to do acrylic and or designs to work on customers. I recently took my teenage daughter to a nail salon to get her nails done. Even though we called ahead made and appointment, she waited an hour before she was seen. Strike one. When it was 'our turn' the lady asked us (again!) if we made an appointment and what my daughter would like done. When we called to make the appointment a few days before, my daughter gave her name and spoke to someone detailing what she wanted. Strike two. When my daughter is done she comes over to me with a miserable look (my daughter is a hard working young lady who really wanted to have her nails done to look pretty for an outing) and I asked her what's wrong? She shows me her nails and they looked awful. It wasn't the color my daughter wanted because the tech wouldn't do it. The area where you build up the nail to keep it from breaking was way too high (almost bubble like) and the gel finish looked gooey. She had already paid and there was another customer in the lady's chair so we couldn't even ask her to fix it, at least without waiting another long wait. Strike three. We are not people who make a big fuss and argue so we stopped at a pharmacy and I bought her press on nails. At home I took off the set she got with a hand drill I use for making keys. They charged her $50 for that piece of crap work! I wasn't aware because I was in the waiting area, (pandemic) and she was too polite to tell that lady it was a bad job. Unfortunately this has happened a few times between myself, my daughter and my sister. Why do nail shop owners do this? I have never gone back to the shops in my area because of this. (This one opened no too long ago and is new to us.) Please do yourself a favor and spend $10 at the pharmacy. DO NOT GO THERE.
