I went to Sunglass Hut at Avalon today to return a pair of sunglasses and had a horrible experience. I purchased a pair of sunglasses one week ago and changed my mind so decided to return them. I have purchased several sunglasses from different sunglass huts over the years and always happy. I handed the glasses I was returning to the young lady at the counter and she started to clean the glasses. She immediately stated “these are all scratched up” and can not be returned. I had not even worn these glasses and based my return on being too pricey for me at this time. She called over another employee and she agreed they were scratched. The two of them kept pointing to this so called scratch which was not there. She went from all scratched up to the scratch. I was of course upset and explained I had not worn them and there was no scratch. One of them then muttered call security so I would hear. I was given a number for customer service and left. I then went to another Sunglass Hut where the glasses were examined, cleaned and accepted for return. The two ladies at Avalon were very disrespectful and were laughing and making comments about me as I was leaving. I will not be purchasing from this company again and hope these two ladies learn a valuable lesson if they see this. Honesty is always the best policy.
