It's sad to see how Washington Square Mall is today compared to how it was when it first opened in 1974 to around 1996 when I feel the mall was still doing well with many top notch stores. I worked at Everything Dollar at the mall from 1993 till 1996. The mall was flourishing quite well during those years. Books stores, music stores, drug stores places to eat at well known places, and even a bank among so much more. The eastside went down and so did the mall, until we see how the mall is today. Very sad. I don't think it's ever coming back to how it once was in it's glory days.
