The Friendly Center Pier 1 Imports exemplifies why the chain failed. Merchandise was a good value if on sale, but the problem was lack of training of managers and sales staff. At this location, the staff members fell into two categories: completely aloof and non-attentive to customers OR rude, rude, rude. Good riddance!
