Lowe’s has always been my go to hardware store and I’m a regular customer at the Tulsa Hills Lowe’s , very convenient for me and always a pleasure to shop there unfortunately tonight I had such a unpleasant and negative experience I feel compelled to post my concerns, I’m an older person with a physical disability, it’s difficult for me to efficiently manage the self check out, I’ve always been able to have a store associate assist me with navigating the checkout process and struggling with a physical handicap, in the past employees were very helpful and polite when assisting me in checking out, this evening I was struggling to manage the checkout, and quietly pleased when a young female employee approached me, thinking that she was going to help me, I was taken back when she simply stood there, asking if she could help, she tersely replied NO you have to do it yourself, struggling and frustrated an assistant manager approached and began ringing up my purchase and helping me manage to “ self pay “ I graciously thanked him, feeling compelled to seek out a store manager I explained my frustration and unpleasant experience with the young female employee. The assistant manager listened to my concerns and could recognize my frustration he was polite and apologetic. I understand that retail stores have a difficult time hiring competent and friendly sales staff, yes as a loyal and frequent Lowe’s customer I’m a understanding customer, unfortunately to be treated so rudely by the young female cashier, has given me pause to consider Home Depot or online shopping
