I shopped at Winco to pick up a few items on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. If I could rate them a negative star, I would. I used the self checkout lane, which is very tight and barely enough space to accommodate a cart. I moved my cart as close to the checkout stand as possible. I was having an issue with one of my items scanning. Unbeknownst to me a customer was apparently trying to get by, but never said a word, what alerted me was the checkout helper (Vecolia or Necolia) moving my cart and tapping my elbow with the cart. This was highly inappropriate. I told her I had no idea someone was trying to get by or I would have gladly moved my cart closer to the checkout stand. I told her I did not appreciate her bumping me with the cart and she needed to watch her bad behavior because I am a customer, with that she started arguing with me. I walked away because I knew she wanted trouble. I called back and spoke with the store manager, at first he would not ID for security reasons. I told him there was no security risk and asked if that were standard procedure not to ID? Reluctantly he said his name was Jose, I gave him an overview and he basically dismissed it as a training issue. I will NEVER SHOP AT WINCO BECAUSE OF THEIR LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM AND THUG EMPLOYEES BEHAVIOR. Today, I plan to call their corporate office because people like Vecolia or Necolia should not be allowed to work with the public.
