I am dismayed to see the beautiful brick of the Marketplace buildings and signs painted over in off white. It cheapens the appearance of the plaza forever and will make it even harder to attract new replacement businesses. What a monumental error of judgement and what a shame.

today I dropped by Hallmark, been going there for 20 years, another store closed. This marketplace is a few hundred yards from Route 7 the busiest road from the beltway to Leesburg and yet there are no signs that 34 stores were there. What this place needs is better management.

the marketplace is less than 1/4 mile off of Route 7 if there was a sign near the exit that there were shops and eateries there perhaps some of that heavy traffic from DC to Leesburg would have kept them in businss, whoever runs this complex isn't very competent. you had a great group of stores too bad no one knew they were there
